The Young and Prosperous Foundation was built on the belief that mentorship can change lives. Its Founder and CEO, Chris Jones, grew up in Southeast San Diego a community once plagued by high rates of gang violence and limited opportunities for youth. In that environment, sports often became the only positive outlet, and local coaches stepped up as mentors, role models, and father figures.

Looking back on his own experiences, Chris recognized how powerful it would have been to also have access to resources like career exposure, financial literacy, social/emotional wellness, and guidance on the value of higher education. That realization sparked the creation of the Young and Prosperous Foundation, a mission-driven organization dedicated to providing the very support Chris once needed.
